There are three types of keywords that trigger the Map Pack:

• Market-Segment
• Customer-Defined
• Geo-Targeted

Market-Segment Keywords are the most general of the three. These keywords often trigger the Map Pack, but they don’t specify what the searcher is looking for. The searcher might be doing research on the topic or looking for ways to solve their problem on their own.

Example: pest control

Customer-Defined Keywords are the most versatile of the three. These search phrases get a lot of search volume and include buyer intent, which means the searcher is looking to get more information and potentially do business with the right company.

Examples: pest control companies, pest control services, etc.

Geo-Targeted Keywords are the most specific of the three. These search phrases include buyer intent and specifically identify a location. Searchers who use these terms are looking for a solution near them, or in another area they are interested in.

Map Pack Domination is first focused on ranking your business for a Geo-Targeted Keyword in your immediate city or town (plus 10 miles radius around your business address). The reason being, the more general keyword types, which often get more search volume, will benefit from the specificity of the Geo-Targeted Keyword. Say, for example, someone performed a search for pest control near me while located in Miami, you have a better chance of ranking for that keyword because you targeted the Geo-Targeted Keyword pest control miami.

Good question! There are two types of leads we charge for:

• Website Leads: these are online quotes or phone calls that take place on your website after someone clicks “visit website” on Google My Business or Yelp. This means we do not charge you for website leads you otherwise would have generated on your own. Also, for online quotes and phone calls on your website, we do not charge you for duplicate/bogus or existing customer leads.

• Platform Leads: these are phone calls that take place on your Google My Business listing and phone calls + messages that take place on your Yelp listing. To accurately track calls on your Google My Business listing, we will install a tracking number that forwards to your main business line. This provides us with rich insights and allows us to only charge you for first-time conversations, not repeat calls. To track calls on Yelp, we will not install a tracking number on your listing (it’s against their policy). Instead, we will calculate the ratio of first-time conversation to repeat callers from your historical metrics and apply a filter.

Nope! We will install a tracking number so we can check where the call came from, how many times the person called, and how long the call took place for. We do this so you don’t have to worry about disputing calls from existing customers, spammers, repeat callers, or wrong numbers. We filter them out for you. That said, we do charge for phone calls that are not answered or closed by you. This is out of our control.

At the online quote level, we do not charge for duplicate or bogus leads that come through your PowerCart form. We have strong algorithms in place to filter these type of leads out. In the unlikely event a bad phone call or online quote slips through the cracks, you can let us know.

Nope! Once you invest in Map Pack Domination we will check your call volume on Google My Business (GMB) over the last 18 months and calculate a monthly average. We will then subtract this number from your total leads every month when we bill you. This ensures that you only pay for leads that directly result from the work we’ve done on your account!

First, we will install all of our tracking tools and setup robust conversion tracking. Then will we focus on ranking your business in your immediate city or town (plus 10 miles radius around your address) for your primary keyword. From our experience, this takes 6-10 weeks on average for most businesses.

Once we secure your spot in the Map Pack for a majority of the zip codes in your immediate service area, we will then shift our focus to ranking your business in the Map Pack for any cities, villages, or towns you service beyond 10 miles. Alternatively, if your service area is small (by default or by choice), we will instead target new keywords within your immediate service area.

So far, we don’t work with more than one company in each service area. That said, we are willing to work with up to three companies per area. Here’s why:

1: No two businesses are the same. Even if you happen to be in the same industry, you are likely located in a different zip code and offer different services, which means you will have a better chance of ranking for search phrases relevant to your location and specific service offerings, and vice versa. These are two ranking signals we do not control. 

2: If a competitor in your service area decides to use Map Pack Domination, they can not and will not benefit from the work we’ve done on your account. There is absolutely no information that can be taken from your account and passed onto there’s, and the reason is simple. We only follow best practices. That’s it. Every company we work with gets the exact same treatment.

3: The Map Pack is a me too market. It features three businesses in the map results. You want to ensure your business is one of those three. If your business ranks for relevant keywords, you stand a good chance of being chosen by a potential customer. And if a potential customer chooses another business from the list, you will not be charged because our pricing model is based on how many leads you receive.

4: The only advantage one company has over another is when they begin following Google My Business, Citation, and Review best practices, which is what Map Pack Domination is focused on. Therefore, if you want an advantage, your best bet is to start now, before the competition in your service area catches wind of the success they can achieve by ranking in the map results.

For reporting and attribution, our goal is to help you understand EXACTLY where your hard-earned dollars are going and what results are being achieved.  We want to be as transparent as possible. To accomplish this, we have created a dashboard that allows you to easily understand where your visitors, leads, and customers are coming from amongst other things.
