Receive an emergency call in a tech’s area? Great! But what if they’re in the middle of a job and not available for another hour? GorillaDesk’s multiple calendar views are perfect for dispatching your team efficiently. When viewing a single technician’s schedule, all active jobs will appear as color-coded pins associated with each day of the week, allowing admins to understand their technician’s route better. And, when viewing multiple technician’s schedules, each scheduled job is color-coded with the corresponding technician; allowing you to see each technician’s position in relation to one another. These two calendar views allow you to optimize your schedule days, weeks, and even months in advance.

Let customers know when you’re going to arrive

Use the GorillaDesk mobile app (available on iOS and Android devices) to send customers text messages letting them know when you’re on the way to their home, or if you’re running late. You can even include the exact arrival time and link to your current location automatically. Who would have thought GPS Tracking software could do all that?

Access location data so you’re always “in the know”

The Replay power-up records all location data and archives it, which means you can access this information at any time. To see where and when things are being done, simply mouse over the small grey pins on your map to reveal the device, date, time, and longitude/latitude coordinates of your team at various times throughout the day.

Vicinity

Ensure important jobs don’t slip through the cracks

The Vicinity power-up requires that your technicians be within 1.75 miles of the service location to check in on their mobile app. If your technician is not within 1.75 miles of the service location, the check-in and check-out options will be greyed out. This ensures your team is where they’re supposed to be and prevents jobs from slipping through the cracks.

Overwatch

Back your work up with accurate location data

If you don’t need to meet with customers in-person, meaning your work is done outside of a home or commercial building, it helps to have location data on file to support you were there. The Overwatch power-up saves the date, time, device, and coordinates when you check in and check out of a job, so you don’t have to worry about proving your worth.

Do I need the Pro Plan to use GPS tracking?

You have access to standard GPS Tracking on the Basic Plan. This allows you to see your technician’s location on the map in relation to their active jobs, and schedule work requests more efficiently. Replay, Vicinity, and Overwatch on the other hand, are only available on the Pro Plan. These power-ups are perfect for businesses that need advanced GPS Tracking.

Do I need to buy any additional hardware?

Nope! GorillaDesk uses your mobile device to record location data (date, time, device, and coordinates), which means you don’t need to buy expensive equipment or sign up for another software subscription to keep track of your team. Can technicians change their location data?

No, your technicians cannot modify or alter location data. This ensures that your location data is accurate and up to date at all times. Also, technicians cannot see each other’s locations on the map. They can only see their own jobs on the map.

Can I access GPS Tracking on the mobile app?

The map view is only accessible by office and admin users, and is only available on the desktop version of GorillaDesk. You can, however, use our mobile app (available on iOS and Android), to view known traffic delays and navigate your way around them!
